Structure: Founded in 1962, MII is Ireland’s professional representative body for the broad disciplines of Marketing.
Membership (MMII): 3500 members, located all over the island of Ireland.
Events: Up to 70 events annually; ranging from local networking events to major national conferences.
Education: Foundation Certificate in Marketing/Selling (2 years); Certificate in Marketing Practice (in-company); Certificate in Marketing Skills (1-year); Diploma in Marketing (3-year); Graduateship of the Institute (4-year) leading to graduate membership and the designation MMII Grad.

  • Expertise: Expert speakers participating in numerous seminars and events across the country, and a comprehensive suite of professional training programmes. 
  • Networking: Regional teams organising over 60 events annually, providing opportunities for extensive networking. 
  • Career: Communication of opportunities to members, and training programmes for personal development. 
  • Advocacy: Promotion of marketing as a philosophy, profession and career, and especially as a driver of profit. Organise All-Ireland Marketing Awards annually.

Full Membership may be gained via (1) the Qualifications Route (a recognised third-level marketing qualification plus two years practical experience) or (2) the Experience Route (five years experience in managing some aspect of marketing). Individual Full membership €230
