  • The purpose of the Swedish Marketing Federation is to promote efficient and ethical marketing practices and to make all concerned aware of the significance of marketing to the national and international economy. The attention of the Federation is mainly focused on comprehensive issues, such as legislation, internationalisation and education.

>> Facts & Figures
Structure: Originally founded in 1919, The Swedish Marketing Federation has around 1000 members - companies and organisations, as well as all the 29 local Marketing Associations in Sweden. These associations, with their 10.000 personal members, mainly provide social business contacts, seminars, education and study visits to local enterprises. The marketing associations also meet through the Federation to exchange ideas and experiences.

>> Overview of the main activities
One of the most important roles of the Swedish Marketing Federation, is to work for a relevant legislation with a minimum of regulations. The Federation is always called upon by the Government to comment on new legislation in the marketing field. Furthermore the yearly marketing seminar Tendensdagen, the Tendency Day, takes place in Stockholm in October each year. Both Swedish and international top speakers participate, and there are usually 5-600 visitors.
