The power of data love

Brussels, March 23, 2023 - EMC, the European Marketing Confederation, is pleased to announce the release of its yearly European Marketing Agenda report. The European Marketing Agenda 2023 – The Power of Data Love features the results of a critical survey conducted on over 6000 Senior Marketing and Sales managers and executives. This year’s assessment covers the most important topics for 2023 and beyond :  (Digital Marketing, Customer Experience Management, and Brand & Strategy Management) and the topics that are falling off rapidly, such as content marketing.

Executing a high-level marketing campaign requires the right tools and the right people, which becomes evident with nearly half of the respondents noticing a lack of (capable) CRM solutions for their needs. This contrasts sharply with 34% of replies highlighting the importance of CRM and CX in their marketing plan, clearly showing the challenges marketing departments face in the near future.

Furthermore, the report clearly shows the broad shift to sustainability strategy, competitor analysis, and consumer reach. These are also topics clearly influenced by new technologies that have impacted the landscape. These include using AI (like ChatGPT for customer experience, Deep Learning models for data analysis, and Web3-based (NFT, Blockchain) projects for customer activation.
